Bert Dirrix

Bert Dirrix  (1954) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1978. In 1990 he won the Prix de Rome. From 1994 to 2003 he was a professor of architecture at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Bert Dirrix previously taught at the Academies of Architecture in Rotterdam, Tilburg, Arnhem, Amsterdam, Maastricht and at the Design Academy Eindhoven. He has given lectures in Germany and Slovakia, among other places. Bert Dirrix has served as a member of several national and international competition juries. Since 2015 he is Spoorbouwmeester. At the end of 2015 he was elected Architect of the Year 2015.
