Situated on the Keizer Karelplein in Nijmegen, designed by Bijvoet. Together with the Association the theater is an important cultural venue. To fulfill this role profitably in the future, there is a need for increased size and range of activities. The study is based on an extension of the theater with a small performance hall with a capacity of about 400 spectators. An additional hotel proposal broadens the programming possibilities in the form of conferences and symposia. The hotel is positioned on the Schaeck Mathonsingel and has a capacity of approximately 120 hotel rooms. In the first phase, the research focuses on urban planning with programmatic studies.
