This location is part of the development of the Piushaven in Tilburg. Important urban elements in the immediate environment include the Ringbaan, the canal with Moerenburg and the Piushaven with the harbour park. There is easy access to the area via three means: i) from the motorway via the ring road, ii) by way of the short route to the inner city through the harbour park and, iii) from its close proximity to the water. diederendirrix proposes visible architectural accents for the east-west connection of the planning area with the surrounding city. The development of a city dock within the harbour park will bring emphasis to the canal. The Fatimastraat / Caspar Houbenstraat will act as a string along which the new urban residential areas and developments will be threaded. There is the possibility of an urban highlight in the Meijerijbaan too. The proposed new entrance to the district will be visible from the Ring.
