De Bochten

Roosendaal

This 12 apartment block has a curved form which gives each dwelling a different orientation towards the sun. The plots are wider on the street side and narrower on the garden side. The block is three storeys high which allows the front side a broad view of the adjacent greenery. The design offers maximum space on the ground floor plus two generous upper floors which can be divided up in a number of ways. The subtly folded front elevation is a particular feature of the architecture and an ingenious way of accentuating the curve and height of the block. The facade gives the apartments a unique appearance. The wooden-clad rear elevation, with it natural, welcoming appearance, is just right for the private nature of the inner area.
