The design for the Blaricummermeent was conceived by diederendirrix in response to an architecture competition. Their submission was made in association with Drost + van Veen, Johan de Wachter and DS Landscape architects. Section plan A1 of the Blaricummermeent proposes a total of 125 dwellings. diederendirrix chose to include four different housing types:- bungalows, live-work housing, terraced houses and a small apartment building.
