Plan area Berkelbosch lies between the Eindhoven canal and the railway. The apartments are divided between two blocks and form the northern edge of the urban development plan area. The buildings border on a municipal green zone containing a row of mature trees. The zone in which the field bungalows stand forms the transition between the denser housing development and a nature area to the east side of the plan area. Together, the generous bungalow-like dwellings on large, open plots, the nonchalant winding access road and the many trees and bushes create an area with a pastoral character. The residences have a strong villa-like appearance which diederendirrix achieved by linking two different residences together as one volume. By differing the size and position of every roof structure a varied street view is created.
